Great Plains Zoo

Charlie and I took a road trip to Sioux Falls with my good friend Jenn and her daughter Olivia last weekend. We got to stay with another good friend, Amanda, and her family. Charlie LOVED playing with Stella and Hoyt. They have so many fun toys at their house.

We also went to the Great Plains Zoo. Both girls were completely amazed by the animals. Charlie didn't want to leave the first 5 exhibits because she didn't realize there was more to see!

After the Zoo we went to a nearby park to have a great picnic lunch that Amanda made. Charlie played on the playground equipment with all the big kids. I was rather stressed during this because the kids were pushing and I thought they were going to knock over Charlie. So we moved to a less busy part of the playground. Charlie wanted to go on the zip line thing. So I lifted her up there and she hung on it while I pushed her back and forth. She went back and for 3 times hanging without my help! I asked her if she wanted to get down and she said "no!" Just as I lifted my hand up to say to Jenn "can you believe how strong she is?" Charlie let go and fell to the ground! I felt so bad!! I guess mommy is more dangerous than those naughty big kids!

We had such a good time. It was great to get to spend the weekend with such good friends. Thanks again Amanda for everything!!
