Pumpkin Gutttssssss

Charlie helped Daddy clean out the pumpkin again this year. She had a great time....most of it anyway!!

We of course had our annual tradition of seeing how much of Charlie we could get to fit in the pumpkin. I didn't get a very big pumpkin this year so I didn't expect much. We have had such cold weather this October and the one weekend that was nice we were sick....so we didn't have a whole lot of choice.

But we got her feet....
And her butt....
Wow!!! Half of Charlie fits in the pumpkin!!!

Um....Uh Oh!! (sorry... you will have to turn your head....I keep forgetting that I can't turn videos!)

I am absolutely not giggling in the background. Who would do that when their child is stuck in a pumpkin???

Then she wasn't so happy!!!

I know she said Never, never, never, ever again......but I don't think she was that traumatized!

Nicely done Nick!!

Conversations with Charlie

While we were home sick last week, Charlie came in from the other room and was really worked up about something. She was talking so fast and I had to ask her to slow down so I could understand her.

Charlie: "Mommy....there is a fly and we need to flat it!"

Me: "We need to flat a fly?"

Charlie: "Yes!! I need the flatter so we can flat the fly and make it died!"

Fire Department Field Trip

UPDATE: I asked Charlie about her field trip last night. She kept calling it her "purple trip." I asked why it was a "purple trip" and she just said because that is what it is called. I asked her what she liked best about the "purple trip" and she told me the best part was riding in someone else's car! :) Clearly the fire station is not a novelty to her anymore!

Beth took the all of the kids to the Fire Department for a field trip today. We were a little worried that Charlie would take over the place since she feels like it is a second home. But she did great and all of the kids really enjoyed seeing the fire department.

New pictures

Just thought I would post a few pictures of what we've been up to lately...which is not much! Hunting season started for Nick last weekend, so Charlie and I have just been hanging out and cleaning. We were going to try to get to the pumpkin patch last week, but the snow put a damper on that plan. So I don't really have much to share!

But I did find these cute pics from a few weeks ago....

Charlie jumping on the couch.....this is one of her favorite things to do. I know we will probably regret letting her do this....but the girl needs a way to expend some energy when it is cold outside!

Jenn and I took the kids to the park last weekend before the weather got so cold. We hardly have any pictures of Charlie and Livvy together so I thought I would try to get a couple. I know why we don't have many....it is hard to get them to both sit still and look the same direction at the same time!

So I put them in the back of my van where they had no where else to go!

Crazy Weather

We have been having some very wintry days this October. It has snowed almost every day this past week and has been in the 20's and 30's most of the time.

Last Monday we were pretty surprised to wake up to almost 6 inches of snow!!! Charlie was so excited to we bundled her up and played outside for a little bit before we had to go to work. I was a little late...but it was totally worth it. The first thing Charlie said when we told her it had snowed was "Can I throw snow balls at Daddy!!" And being the good daddy that Nick is, he got out of bed and got dressed, just so he could go out in the snow and let Charlie throw snow at him!

It is just beyond beautiful up here when it snows. It definitely makes the drive into town worth it!
The snow was really wet and heavy, so Nick tried to save the tree.....he just got the broom stuck! :)
We ended up losing some branches...
But it made a nice late night snack for the deer!

It was exciting to have snow already...but I could go for a little fall first!!

Hannah, Belle and Some Fish

While we were trying to decide if we like our new camera....we took A LOT of pictures of anything we could. Especially things that stay still for longer than Charlie. So we have a ton of new pictures of Hannah, Belle and our fish.

Here is Belle, doing what she loves best (besides hunting.)

Miss Banana...

Hannah eventually got really tired of being photographed.

And then there are our fish. When Nick wanted to switch the tank over to salt water about a year and a half ago, I really could have cared less. I was more worried about the cost and maintenance, and didn't really think it would be that must different from fresh water. I was so wrong. Nick does such a beautiful job with our tank. Some nights after Charlie goes to bed, we just sit and watch it. It is so relaxing. So I thought I would post a few pics of some of the tank inhabitants. Someday I will post another video so you can get the full affect.

This is our anemone crab. He is one of my favorites.

Some of the corals....

This tube worm will hopefully be going to my tank at work as soon as it is established enough.

"Dori" and our Kole Tang.

"Dori" and our Flame Angel.

Here is a picture of our newest and very funny little fish....can you see him??

Charlie's Rainy Birthday

Our plan was to take Charlie to Storybook Island on her birthday. But we woke up to a very chilly rainy day. Charlie was pretty sad when I told her we couldn't go to Storybook Island, but then she quickly said, "Can I see the rain?" So I took her to her window and when she saw the rain she said. "Maybe Livvy can come over and we can jump in Puddles!!" So that is what we did. And she had so much fun!! I was so proud of her that she could make a dissapointing situation better all on her own!

Later that night, Papa Tom took us to Chucky Cheese!! She had a really fun day!

Charlie's B-day Party - 1 Month Late

Charlie had a really fun Birthday party on Labor Day. She had so much fun having her friends over to play outside and have a BBQ and cake and ice cream.

Charlie loves Tinkerbell....that is all she asked for for her birthday.

Singing Happy Birthday!! I don't think Aspen liked our singing!! :)

Hey!!! Who's this guy??
Sorry Keith....you take pictures of yourself with my camera you end up on the blog!! !:)
